Let me share with you the best viewpoints in Mallorca, Spain! From dramatic landscapes in Serra de Tramuntana to idyllic viewpoints in mountain villages and scenic stops along the Mediterranean Sea – Mallorca is the queen of epic views!
We spent a couple of months living in Mallorca and exploring everything this wonderful island had to offer. And hunting down the best views on the island was one of my favorite things to do in Mallorca.
On this list, you’ll find the best viewpoints in Mallorca, including some of the best sunset spots in Mallorca all with photos, descriptions, and locations on the map. I hope you enjoy your time there as much as we did. Happy travels!
1. Mirador de sa Foradada

Mirador de sa Foradada viewpoint overlooking the West Coast of Mallorca and a unique seaside cliff with a hole is one of the most popular viewpoints in Mallorca. Especially around the sunset hours so come early to take your spot here!
The breathtaking viewpoint is located near Deiร village and is easily accessible if you have a rental car. Just in case you decide to wait for the sunset, check out the nearby Foradada Restaurant and ask for a table. Unbeatable views are guaranteed!
Location: Mirador de sa Foradada
2. Mirador de Valldemossa

Valldemossa is one of the most picturesque villages in Mallorca. It is known for its narrow cobblestone streets, traditional Mallorcan architecture, and such landmarks as the historic Carthusian monastery and the Palace of King Sancho.
It is also home to some of the most beautiful views on the island. If you travel to Valldemossa, then stop by Mirador de Valldemossa II along the main road MA-1110 winding through the village. You can also walk over there from the village.
The viewpoint offers an idyllic overlook of the skyline of this unique village with church spires piercing the the mountainous landscape above the rest of the ochre-colored houses. This is one of my favorite viewpoints in Mallorca!
Location: Mirador de Valldemossa II
3. Mirador de Es Colomer and Albercutx Watchtower

Located near the northern tip of Mallorca, the breathtaking Mirador de Es Colomer viewpoint with panoramic views is probably the most famous and most stunning of all the viewpoints in Mallorca!
The popular viewing platform was named after the tiny island called Es Colomer, which you can actually spot from the coast. This is an especially popular place around sunset hours when the whole coastline transforms into a canvas of vibrant colors.

Located right next to the viewpoint just higher up the hill is another popular vantage point, Albercutx Watchtower. The 16th-century watchtower is also known as the Talaia d’Albercutx and was built to protect the island from pirate attacks.
Today together with its counterpart Mirador de Es Colomer they offer some of the most dramatic and sweeping views on the island. We watched the sunset here and it was one of the most memorable things we did in Mallorca.
Location: Mirador de Es Colomer – Albercutx Watchtower
4. Mirador Cap de Formentor

There is even more to this little corner of the island. If you leave Mirador de Es Colomer behind and travel even deeper into the Formentor Peninsula you will experience one of the most scenic drives in Mallorca.
Located at the northern end of the island, this small peninsula features sharp cliffs, a rugged coastline, and panoramic views of the Mediterranean Sea. Fun fact! Formentor Peninsula is often referred to as the Meeting Point of the Winds.
At the end of the drive, you will reach the northernmost point in Mallorca – Cap de Formentor which is marked by a large white 19th-century lighthouse sitting on a cliff 210 meters above the sea.
The lighthouse is one of the remotest places to visit in Mallorca. Due to the narrow road and the popularity of this place, the road has traffic restrictions during high season. But you can get there by bus or by car outside limited traffic hours.
Location: Mirador Cap de Formentor
5. Mirador de Es Pontร s

Es Pontร s, one of the natural wonders of Mallorca, translates as ‘the big bridge’ and is one of the most iconic rock formations and beautiful places in Mallorca. I have been to this place three times and the views never disappoint!
Es Pontร s is a natural bridge-like sea arch right off the coast of southeast Mallorca. You can either see it from the coast at Mirador de Es Pontร s, visit during a boat tour, or swim to it from the coast. We saw many adrenaline junkies cliff-jumping there!
Location: Mirador de Es Pontร s
6. Mirador Nus de sa Corbata

Mirador Nus de sa Corbata is one of the most iconic viewpoints in Mallorca offering views of the epic landscape surrounding the famous Sa Calobra road with all its serpentine twists and hairpin bends.
The 13-kilometer Sa Calobra road descends nearly 800 meters through the dramatic landscape of the Tramuntana mountains, ending at the secluded beach of Sa Calobra. The road was designed by an Italian engineer Antonio Paretti.
The best place to see the road is at the Nus de Sa Corbata or the Tie Knot (location below). Due to its uniqueness, Sa Calobra road has been featured in TV commercials and shows like Top Gear and is considered one of the most iconic roads in the world!
Location: Mirador Nus de sa Corbata
7. Torre de Cala en Basset

If you fancy a short hike accompanied by the fresh scent of pine trees and stunning views, then you should consider hiking from the village of Sant Elm to Torre de Cala en Basset, one of the island’s historic 16th-century defense watchtowers.
The hike from Sant Elm to the well-preserved stone watchtower is about 2 kilometers long. It is not a difficult hike and the scenery is super rewarding as you get panoramic views of the Sa Dragonera island, the Mediterranean Sea, and the rugged coast.

My favorite part of the view was probably Sa Dragonera. The uninhabited Dragon Island located just off the coast got its name thanks to its unique shape that resembles the back of a dragon. And from here you can see it all on display.
The watchtower itself is still intact and you can actually walk inside it. With the help of my husband, I even climbed up to the top of the tower. You have to be of a certain size and fitness to do that, tho. This was one of my favorite short hikes in Mallorca.
Location: Torre de Cala en Basset
8. Mirador del Calvari and the iconic 365 Calvari Steps

Climbing the iconic 365 Calvari Steps, or Escala del Calvari, in the picturesque Pollenรงa is one of the bucket list things to do in Mallorca. The unique experience combines great views with a little bit of exercise.
The iconic stairway consists of 365 stone steps, symbolically representing each day of the year. The steps start in the heart of Pollenรงa town and lead uphill to the 18th-century Calvari Chapel. This is a climb everyone must do when visiting Pollenรงa!

Historically, the 365 Calvari Steps were created as a path for pilgrimage but today they serve as a famous landmark and tourist destination. At the top of the stairs, you will find a small chapel as well as different viewpoints overlooking Pollenรงa
The best spot to see Pollenรงa isnโt from the chapel but just a few steps away from a viewing platform Mirador del Calvari which uncovers spectacular vistas of the surrounding area, including the Bay of Pollensa and Port de Pollenca town.
Location: Calvari Steps – Mirador del Calvari
9. Postcard views of Deiร

Deiร , one of the most beautiful towns in the Serra de Tramuntana mountains, is a place that calms your mind and inspires. The postcard village has long attracted famous artists and creatives to its surroundings. See all the top things to do in Deiร !
Deiร is worth visiting even if you only have time to stop for a couple of minutes before continuing on your journey around the island. There are amazing viewpoints and cafes with panoramic views right along the main road winding through Deiร .

If you have more time, I recommend hiking up Deiร hill to the Sant Joan de Deiร Church and the cemetery next to it for the most scenic views over the surrounding mountains and olive groves. It is a unique place, indeed.
Deiร is also home to one of the most beautiful restaurants in Mallorca. The famous El Olivio at La Residencia Hotel (and their other restaurant Restaurante Mirรณ) is known for its idyllic setting at the foothills of the Serra de Tramuntana mountain range.
Location: Deiร
10. Mirador de la Trapa

Mirador de la Trapa is a majestic viewpoint in the southwest of Mallorca known for its breathtaking views of the island of Sa Dragonera and the steep cliffs along the coastline. If you are looking for a place to escape crowds, then this is it!
The name of the viewpoint comes from a former Trappist monastery. You can still see its ruins near the viewpoint but not much is left of it anymore.

You can reach Mirador de la Trapa by a scenic hike of moderate difficulty. You can either go from Sant Elm village (it is a 5-kilometer hike from the village) or find a parking spot on closer roads to shorten the distance.
This was one of my favorite hikes in Mallorca with pine forests, rocky terrain, and panoramic views along the way. Honestly, I think the best views of Sa Dragonera were somewhere along the way not at the end.
Location: Mirador de la Trapa
11. Mirador d’en Ricardo Roca

Named after the Mallorcan writer and journalist Ricardo Roca this popular viewpoint along MA-10 Serra de Tramuntana road is a favoured stopping point for road trippers traveling around Mallorca.
There is a large parking area right next to the road and a short stairway up the cliff to the viewing platform. From there you can see the twists and bends of the scenic coastal road and the dramatic coastal landscape of Mallorca.

There is another cool thing about this viewpoint. It features a cliffside restaurant named Restaurant es Grau with a panoramic terrace overlooking the blues in the Mediterranean Sea.
It is a popular dining place for sunset hours so we came here for breakfast when the restaurant was quite empty. Only a few bikers stopped for a coffee, orange juice, and toasts. Prices here are definitely higher but the view is 10 out of 10.
Location: Mirador d’en Ricardo Roca – Restaurant es Grau
12. Sanctuary of Sant Salvador

The majestic mountains of the Serra de Tramuntana is not the only place boasting spectacular views. Although the west coast of Mallorca is well-known for its viewpoints, there are a couple of spectacular vantage points on the east coast as well.
One of them is the Sanctuary of Sant Salvador, a former monastery dating back to the 14th century sitting on top of a 500-meter hill, Puig de Sant Salvador, near Felanitx town in eastern Mallorca.
It is a scenic drive uphill rewarded with 360-degree panoramic views over the east coast of Mallorca. The complex on top features a large cross, a statue of Christ, and a sanctuary building with a chapel and a small museum.
We went there for the sunset and the views did not disappoint!
There are two spots to visit – the hill with the sanctuary and the statue of Christ and another small hilltop just nearby with a cross on top. We went to both of them and experienced one of the most beautiful sunsets in Mallorca.
Location: Sanctuary of Sant Salvador
13. Mirador ses Barques

Mirador Ses Barques is a scenic viewpoint in the Serra de Tramuntana mountains of Mallorca. It is easily accessible by car and has a restaurant and a bar with a panoramic terrace. We stopped here for a coffee with a dessert and a view!
From our restaurant table, we got a beautiful panoramic view of the Port of Soller town down by the sea as well as the surrounding mountains and olive groves.

Mirador Ses Barques and its restaurant is a particularly popular place around sunset hours when the whole coastline turns into a vibrant painting.
If you are looking for a unique dinner spot for sunset then this might be a good option. When we visited it was quite windy so bring a jacket if you decide to have dinner here and wait for the sunset.
Location: Mirador ses Barques
Happy exploring!
Mallorca is one of my favorite islands I have ever been to. Years ago I thought Mallorca was a party island made for beachgoers. Now, after visiting Mallorca 5-6 times it is hard for me to think of a more diverse and multifaceted island than Mallorca.
We spent many months living in Mallorca while traveling around and discovering something new each time we went out the door – caves, villages, beaches, or epic views in the Serra de Tramuntana mountains, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
I hope you enjoy your time in the turquoise waters, picturesque villages, and crazy landscapes of Mallorca as much as we did and I hope you get some travel inspiration from this blog post! Happy exploring!
